Climate change is a real, looming threat on our world. I know that we as a nation can be doing much more in order to conserve our environment for future generations.

As president, I will proudly preserve funding for the EPA. Many of the acts passed by this organization are of the utmost importance, such as the Clean Air Act, were the most visibly impactful pieces of legislation in our history. This act has reduced smog significantly in major cities like New York, and will continue to improve our environment in my administration.

As president, I will create policies to push our nation towards using solar, wind, and  hydroelectric energy technologies for power. According to a study by the Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory, these forms of renewable energy could be providing 80% of America’s electricity by 2050. By starting the ball rolling, our national carbon emissions and water use will be cut down significantly.

The clean energy economy will also help workers. The construction of more solar panels and wind turbines will open more job opportunities. If we focus our nation towards a clean future, our workers can get back to work building towards the green energy horizon.
